About the Dogs:

Chanel (Age 8) and Milo (Age 6) are two rescued dogs whose chance meeting in a neighborhood park turned into a forever friendship.

Chanel, a spirited terrier mix, was adopted as a young pup and quickly grew into a confident, curious little leader. With her expressive eyes and lively personality, she approaches life like it’s one grand adventure. She’s imaginative, fiercely loyal, and always ready to turn an ordinary walk into a mission.

Milo, a gentle mixed-breed with a calm soul, was rescued after a difficult start to life. Thoughtful and steady, he carries a quiet wisdom that balances Chanel’s sparkle. He doesn’t bark often-but when he does, it means something. His peaceful presence brings comfort to everyone around him.

About the Authors:

Julia L. Rosengren is a passionate animal rescuer and filmmaker whose work reflects her dedication to protecting animals and the environment. Julia has saved many animals—including her beloved dog, Chanel, the inspiration for this book’s main character. Julia also creates films that share messages about caring for our planet and one another. Her projects, whether they be film or, in this case, a book, are inspired by her love of nature and her mission of creativity with purpose. Above all, Julia hopes to inspire children everywhere to be brave, kind, and to believe that even the smallest act of love can change the world.

Paul Davis grew up in the United Kingdom and later made New York City his home. A lifelong storyteller, he has written screenplays and short stories that explore courage, hope, and the power of compassion. Paul has always loved dogs and has been lucky enough to rescue two who were in desperate situations but went on to live happy, loving lives. Inspired by their resilience and joy, he brings the same spirit of kindness and adventure to his writing.
